George Kelly is based in Portland. Although he's probably the most patient, daring, and talented street photographer I've met, he doesn't spend much time on a computer and has virtually no web presence. I thought it would be fun to share some of his photos with a wider audience. Enjoy.

i'm currently in south korea but coming back to portland this summer. is there any way i could see more of George Kelly's work in person when i'm there?
I admire his work and envy his ability to keep off the web. Great thing you posted these.
Lee, I think George would be willing to show you more work. What I"ve posted here is just the tip of the iceberg. You can contact him at geokelly@comcast.net
Thanks for posting these. I especially like the one of the woman watching the fire (makes me think of Winogrand's photo of a mother and child watching a fire, but this one is sexier, which also might be why it's strangely amusing)and "Alive, 13 Feet Long, Help Wanted"...also, amusing.
Most of those photos are pretty amusing--something I very much admire in photography. It seems there are so many "serious photographers" these days that are all about making serious images. These are great examples of how a picture can make a statement and be funny at the same time. Rather reminiscent of Robert Frank and Gary Winogrand and all the "snapshot" photographers.
