RE-35 no longer available

The belated trophy for best photo-related April Fool's gag has to go to the RE-35. A digital cartridge for film cameras? It's so brilliantly silly that it's almost believable.

I guess a lot of others thought so too. The product site became so popular that this morning it collapsed under its own weight and was replaced with a general site marker. Oh well, fun while it lasted. Some tearpages can still be found here.

  1. If I not remember bad there was a promise of something similar at the begin of the digital wave. This guys are very good in design issues. I love the flexisensor technology. Ahahaha

  5. www.re35.net now has an all-text page confessing it was a prank and noting that there seems to be a lot of pent-up demand for such a product. I'd sure buy one.
