Asa Nisi Masa

Does anyone still read this blog? If so, I apologize for neglecting it lately. I've moved most of my daily photo activities to Instagram. If you follow me there you'll know I'm about to publish my first photobook Asa Nisi Masa. I'm sick of posting about it there, and Instagram is probably sick of seeing my book promos. So I figured I'd advertise here also. You know what they say. No stone unturned, etc.

The book will be printed by the Italian publisher Eyeshot. It should hit the U.S. in late Summer 2025. This hardback will collect full frame b/w photos from 30+ years of steady shooting. Final image selection and sequencing are still being tweaked, but the book will include a mix of street photography, urbex, family chaos, Felliniesque nonsense, and more.

You can find more info, images, and an order form here.

Use BLAKEPRIVATE10 at checkout for 10% discount.

Important Note: Orders must be placed by June 30th, 2025. After this date, the print run is closed and the book will be unavailable for new orders.

Thanks for your support!

  2. Blake, I certainly read this blog and have already pre-ordered the book. Definitely about time for you to have a book published - congratulations! I am very excited for you (and for me).

I think that if you cross post your instagram reviews here, you would gain a bit more traction on this channel and you'd be less dependent on Meta in case you choose to leave one day.
I read everything here, but often just give you a friendly Like on IG. IG is such a superficial channel where people like myself just throw Likes around without paying much attention.
Best of luck with the book. IG: @niels_hos_nielsen

  3. I agree with Niels. Would love to see you crosspost your Instagram content here. Haven't logged into IG for months, but I've got "B" on my RSS feed. Looking forward to your book! Cheers!

  4. I read the blog through RSS and it's one of my favourite photography websites (really enjoyed the interview with Sebastian Boncy recently). Thoughtful, but unpretentious. To echo the other comments I'd love to see your IG book reviews crossposted here, as I try to just post and run on IG, and it's very random which posts I'm shown from the accounts I follow.

Just pre-ordered the book — very pleased to be able to support your work and looking forward to receiving it.
